My Simple Country Pleasures
I love using photography for my medium. I enjoy capturing still life images from our simple little 2.5 acreage, shooting natural scenes of spring and to the stillness of winter! I honestly admit, morning is my most favorite time of the day...it's quiet and peaceful!

On Westgate Pastures, the only sounds you hear during the summer months are the whispering winds, the rustling of the leaves in the willows and the morning birds high up in the evergreen trees. Not far off in the distance, a meadow lark perched high on a wire sings a good morning melody of happiness, giving you good reason to awake and enjoy your morning coffee.

The morning's are my delight all year round and there is no such thing as sleeping in, here on Westgate Pastures

For now, I would love to share with you my...

Seasonal Photography with vintage and rustic decor ~
An old weathered gate opening the path to Secret Garden accented with apple blossoms adds a simplicity touch to a cottage style garden!
I simply adore rustic wood and old hardware!
Rusty old pitchers filled with purple blossoms make a simple yet pretty bouquet to welcome the new season!
Spring lilacs are amazingly beautiful with their heavenly scent and texture! As much as I adore these fragrant blooms, their scent is so powerful for my well being.
Weathered Wooden Birdfeeders
There is beauty in old wooden structures that I simply can not part with! This bird feeder has braved many storms, snow and rain which has led it to age very well! The chickadees, woodpeckers, Blue Jays and nuthatches have had many feasts of seeds and suet! And of course, being content with their surroundings, they are not ones to ever complain!
Watering Cans and Wildflowers
The minute my eyes caught sight of this old watering can, I instantly fell in love with it's rustic appeal! And it's perfect for yellow solidago and the purple flowers!
