A Little About Me

     When I was a little girl, I loved baking with mom.  As kids, we would take turns rolling out the cookies, cutting the leftover pie pastry, putting sprinkles on the cupcakes or simply licking the bowl and egg beaters. 
     Mom’s kitchen always had the aromas of something baking in the oven or stewing on the stove.  In the summer, I watched her hoe potatoes, water flower beds and hang linen on the line.  She was a hard worker and never stopped at anything.  Now, I see a lot of her characteristics in me and I wonder, how did she manage with 8 children. She’s amazing, the perfect mother anyone could wish for.  She made everything beautiful for us, Christmas, Easter and Halloween.  Where did she get her energy from? Who knows!  How she got it done, amazing! 
     I tend to feel there is not enough hours in the day for the things I want to accomplish. I’m an early bird, sleeping in would be seven o’clock. I love creating new projects in the yard.  My husband gets a little exhausted and frustrated with all my new ideas, watching me dig new flower beds or adding new ideas to our house decor.  
     When I was 5 years old, we moved to the lake from the river.  Our neighbor, had the most beautiful garden filled with zinnias, marigolds, sweet peas, irises, daisies and flowers of many colors. One day she spotted me peeking through the gate and said, “Take these flowers to your mother.” I was totally amazed with the fresh picked bouquet of flowers that I ran all the way home with excitement! That is where it all began, my passion for gardening. 
 I’m so in love with creating magical scenes with photography.  I use a lot of natural props and lighting, pottery made by my daughters and myself, and vintage artifacts in most of my gallery pictures.  I really love what I do...it’s my escape from the every day world.
